In a response to an X user who brought the obscene act to his attention on Sunday, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police Force, revealed that the father had been detained.

The Edo State Police Command, he said, will “counsel the parents rather than prosecute them.”

When asked about the police’s decision to counsel the parents rather than persecute them, Simi reacted negatively.

“You wish to ‘advise’ parents who openly and repeatedly abuse their infant?” she wrote. Whoa, a little kid of four! Excuse me, what’s happening? “Oh my.”
