Cinema House Devastated by Fire in Asaba

A prominent movie theater in Asaba, the capital of Delta state, was destroyed by fire yesterday.

Cartage Cinema on Okpanam road in the Oshimili North local government district was engulfed in flames as of the time this report was being prepared, having begun at approximately 1:00 pm.

Okpanam road was closed and traffic was controlled by the police.

Adjacent to Gabbs Supermarket, Rain Oil Filling, and the Delta State House of Assembly is the cinema house.

While Red Cross workers were on the scene to treat any casualties, gas station employees ceased selling fuel.

There was a truck and men from the Delta State Fire Service.
