NCC and Nokia ink Memorandum of Understanding to Educate Future Generations on 4G and 5G Radio Technology

Dr. Aminu Maida, the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), and Nokia Solutions and Networks Nigeria have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide youth training at the Digital Parks of the NCC in the most recent 4G and 5G transmission and radio technologies.

Earlier this week, the EVC, headed by Dr. Bosun Tijanni, Minister of Communications, Innovation, and the Digital Economy, signed the MoU.

In other words, Nokia Nigeria will be utilizing their state-of-the-art radio and transmission technology to set up a fully operational 5G/4G test facility.

This partnership, as stated by NCC, furthers the goal of empowering Nigerians with the modern knowledge and abilities necessary to keep up with the dynamic telecoms business.

With the aim of promoting digital literacy and creating a national pipeline of technical talents, the Commission stated that the development was in line with the objectives of the Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy.

As part of its Entrepreneur Learning Programme, Nokia Nigeria plans to provide 200 students from all six of Nigeria’s geopolitical zones with top-notch vocational education.
