The FWA has selected Foden of Man City their footballer of the year

Phil Foden of Manchester City was named the 2023–24 Footballer of the Year by the Footballer Writers’ Association.

The female winners were Khadija “Bunny” Shaw and another Manchester City player.

Foden is the third Man City player in four years to win the men’s Footballer of the Year title, following Ruben Dias in 2021 and Erling Haaland in 2023. He received 42% of the vote from members.

The playmaker came in first, while Man City teammate Rodri came in third and Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice finished in second and third, respectively. The top six were Cole Palmer, Ollie Watkins, Martin Odegaard, and Martin.

The 23-year-old Foden has racked up 16 goals and 7 assists in the Premier League so far this season.

Along with his two FA Cup goals, he has five goals and three assists in the Champions League.
