[Top 7] Athletes’ greatest salaries revealed by Forbes

Forbes has ranked Cristiano Ronaldo as the highest-paid athlete for the fourth year running.

Ronaldo made $200 million from his on-field exploits and $60 million from his off-field activities.

Spanish golfer Jon Rahm is in second place after his shocking transfer to LIV Golf, financed by Saudi Arabia, which would pay the world No. 5 at least $300 million.

Rahm has made $218 million outside of that guarantee.

Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi, who made $135 million after joining the Major League Soccer, comes in at number three.

Deals with major brands like Apple and Adidas have brought in $70 million off-field and $65 million on-field for the 36-year-old.

Fourth on the list is LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers with $128.2 million, and rounding out the top five is NBA sensation Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks with $111 million.

Kylian Mbappe, a forward for Paris Saint-Germain, has fallen to sixth place, earning 110 million euros.

Despite missing much of the season due to a torn ACL, his former PSG teammate Neymar, who is now playing for Al Hilal, ranks eighth in terms of earnings ($108 million).
