Edison Ehie, chief of staff to River State governor Siminalayi Fubara, had an arrest warrant vacated by the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The court’s order was issued without jurisdiction, according to Justice Emeka Nwite’s ruling dated April 25, 2024.

The following individuals are also impacted by the order: Progress Joseph, Jinjiri Bala, Happy Bennett, Adokiye Oyagiri, and Chibuike Peter.

The Honourable Court’s ruling from January 31, 2024, to issue a warrant of arrest and proclaim the Defendants/Applicants wanted was null and void, according to Justice Nwite, who stated, “That the same is hereby set aside.”

Alleged terrorist acts led to lawsuits against the chief of staff and others, according to divinejams.

But the judge proclaimed them wanted not long after the charges were lodged.

The respondents’ lawyer, Oluwile Aladedoye, had asked the court to delay carrying out the judgment until the hearing and decision on the application to vacate the arrest warrant could be reached.
