German national team player Jamal Musiala has revealed that his father is of Nigerian descent and is a constant source of cultural instruction.

While gushing over the African treat “fufu” and praising Nigerian culture, the Bayern Munich midfielder made this declaration.

During his recent appearance as a guest on Chef Serge Ibaka’s popular show “How Hungry Are You,” the 21-year-old made his statement.

While Musiala did confess to having never gone to Nigeria, he did say that he had extensive knowledge of African cultures and Nigerian history from his childhood.

Musiala expressed her long-held desire to visit Africa, but a lack of time prevented her from ever making the trip.

I get a wealth of information about African cuisine and culture from my father, who is originally from Nigeria. When I was a kid, my dad used to whip up a batch of fufu whenever we were back in England.

A Nigerian father and a German mother came together in Stuttgart to create Musiala.

After his family relocated to the UK when he was seven years old, he spent his formative years there.
