Zamfara Economic Planning Board approved by Governor Lawal

Zamfara State’s governor, Dauda Lawal, has approved the formation of an economic planning board for the state.

Meeting at Gusau’s Zamfara Government House, the Executive Council reached the decision.

Key initiatives aimed at supporting the growth of the state were approved by the council, according to a statement from the Governor’s spokeswoman, Sulaiman Bala Idris.

Governor Dauda Lawal gave the go-ahead to form the Zamfara Economic Planning Board during yesterday’s emergency meeting of the Executive Council. Honorable Abdulmalik Abubakar Gajam, Commissioner for Budget and Planning, would preside over the board, according to the announcement.

Idris added that the responsibility of creating and executing economic strategies to foster long-term growth and development in the state falls on the Zamfara Economic Planning Board.

According to him, the board will be essential in propelling the region’s economic growth and prosperity.

For the benefit of Zamfara State’s decent citizens, the state’s economic policies will be closely monitored by the economic planning board.

All members of the State Executive Council, chairmen of local governments, and important public servants driving the state’s economy will work together on the planning board. In many ways, the board resembles the National Economic Council. “Idris” concluded.
