As the Federal Ministry of Sports Development steps up athlete preparation for the Paris Olympics, Team Nigeria will formally launch domestic camping in three Federation States and the FCT.
Domestic camping is allowed in the states of Oyo, Lagos, and Bayelsa. This was revealed at a ministerial strategic technical meeting in Abuja on Thursday by John Enoh, the minister of sports development.
There was a meeting, he claimed, to get Team Nigeria ready for the Olympics and Paralympics.
Eleven sports federations that are qualified to compete in the Olympics sent their presidents, secretaries, and technical directors to the conference.
Following the domestic camp, the minister promised that athletes would go on international training trips, emphasizing the significance of being properly prepared for the Games.
He mentioned that the U.S., Germany, Spain, and Italy—all of which are geographically close to France—have been planned as international tours for the athletes heading to Paris.
