Benin Republic vs. Super Eagles 2026 World Cup Qualifying Match Officials Announced by FIFA

The new referees for Nigeria’s and the Benin Republic’s 2026 World Cup qualification match were announced by FIFA on Wednesday.

On Monday, June 10, 2024, the match will take place at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny.

At first, the game was supposed to be officiated by Bamlak Tessema Weyesa, an Ethiopian official.

Pierre Ghislain Atcho, a Gabonese official, has succeeded Weyesa.

Assistant Referee 1 Temesgin Samuel Atango and Assistant Referee 2 Tigle Gizaw Belachew, both of whom are Weyesa’s compatriots, have been retained, respectively.

The fourth official, Tewodros Mitiku of Ethiopia, has been replaced by Antoine Max Effa Essouma of Cameroon.

The match commissioner, security officer, and referee assessor who were originally appointed will all be present for the match on matchday four.
